It’s an amazing museum and if you’re in the Ryoguku area you must see it. You can also ride or walk east/west along the main street for a few miles and end up on the main corner in Kinshicho.
In fact, it’s not just one museum, but many, including ancient historical artifacts, an auto museum, and a World War 2 display.
The building is a vast cavernous open space elevated up on 4 massive concrete posts.

Also along the way is the Hokusai Museum on a little backstreet.
Just around the corner is the famous Sumo venue Nippon Budokan.
If you happen to be way down south in the Shinagawa area, also be sure to check out The Museum of Package Culture.

Admission to the permanent exhibition after the reopening will be 800 yen ($5) for adults and 400 yen for visitors aged 65 and over. The museum said it aims to become a “Tokyo icon that everyone will want to visit.”
