About 3 blocks west of the Sumida River in Akasuka is the Coffee Shop Carib. With a nice atmophere and a Bohemian feel to it, this cafe has consitently been rated one of the top 5 or top 10 cafes in Asakusa.
To get to the shop, cross the Sumida River at one of the 2 bridges next to the Asahi Group HQ bldg, then head west and north. The Carib is just a few blocks northwest on Akasuka’s famous Nakamise Dori St.
If you’re coming from central or west Tokyo, you’ll want to get to Ueno Station, then head east from there.
If you’re at Tokyo Sky Tree, you’ll want to walk west, cross the Sumida River, then head north a block or two. The walk from Sky Tree is legendary and is only a few miles.
