Just a few blocks northwest of Ikebukuro Station is a nice little internet cafe called NetMaru.
You can stay in these kinds of capsule hotels for a few hours, a day, a night, a week, or a month. They’re usually clean and affordable and NetMaru is one of the more upscale ones in Tokyo. There are a bunch of other locations including in Shibuya to the south. A month’s stay is about on par with smaller business hotels such as APA. Last we checked, a month’s stay at NetMaru runs about $60 US.
In each room you get a large foldable bed, a chair, and 1 or more computers with high-speed internet. You can drop in to relax, for business, or to sleep. Most of the rooms have heavy metal doors to muffle sound.
The facilities also include a common shower area on each floor, and complete laundry, and other ameneties. Floors are divided by sex – male and female.
Access
To get here, exit Ikebukuro West Gate Park west exit, head 1 block south, and then turn right (west) at Global Ring. Head 1 more block west, then turn left (south) and head 1 more block south. NetMaru will be at the next corner on your right.
They even have an official YouTube channel (see below).
Enjoy!
