Hidden away 2 blocks west in the shadow of Sunhine 60 is the fabulous quaint little J.Chicken takeout restaurant.
Nestled on a corner just a few blocks south of Sunshine 60 St. this little place is easy to get to and the food is out of this world.
J.Chicken serves mostly grilled chicken, kabobs, sandwiches and drinks. Prices are very reasonable and you can pig out for under ¥1000.
At night look for the bright yellow lit signs on the corner.
Getting Here
To get here it depends on whether you’re coming from Sunshine 60 or from Ikebukuro Station.
For the former, head out the west exit of Sunshine 60, under the big highway overpass, then down the small side street next to Y’s Road bike shop. Head straight ahead 1 block and it will be just on your left at the next corner.
From Ikebukuro Station, head out the east exit, then head south along the main sidewalk. At the main SEIBU depato entrance cross the street and head down the main road heading east.
Keep heading east until your reach the fabulous and newly renovated Miniami-Ikebukuro Park on your right, but then head left (north) down the next major street at 35°43’44.45″ N 139°42’58.01″ E.
Head north 2 blocks, and J.Chicken will be on your right.
