On the ground floor of the PASELA RESORTS AKIBA building in Akihabara is a cool little café called Honey Toast Cafe Akihabara. The shop sells a wide variety of toast + cubed bread, ice cream, cakes, coffee,+ a few other goodies. Prices are reasonable ranging from 300¥ – 700¥ (Roughly $3-$7).
The bldg. is just north of the Mainsenbashi Station complex on the north side of the Kanda River.
Access
Get to Akihabara Station on the Hibya Metro Line, or on one of the JR lines, then head south down Chuo Dori Ave. (Akihabara’s main street) and turn right just before Mainsenbashi Station. The PASELA bldg. will be just on your left. You can also walk to it from the south of Akihabara by getting to Kanda Station (one stop south on JR), and heading north on foot.
Conclusion
Honey Toast is the latest food craze in Tokyo, just behind the massive pancake craze that hit a few years back. There are other honey toast shops in Tokyo as well.
